Barrier Lifter - ABL255-2000

Overview

The Aardwolf ABL255-2000 is designed for lifting and transporting granite slabs, sandstone blocks, and concrete barriers in a safe, easy, and efficient manner.

The contact surface is protected by rubber-lined jaws, helping to reduce damage during lifting operations.

With a 100–255 mm grip range and a 2000 kg working load limit (WLL), this model is suitable for standard barrier lifting and precast concrete handling applications.

How It Works

The clamp operates using a gravity-controlled mechanism.

  • The lifter is attached to a crane
  • When lowered, the jaws open to position onto the load
  • As lifting begins, the clamp automatically grips and secures the material
  • When the load is set down, the jaws automatically release

This allows efficient operation without manual locking.

Key Features

  • Automatic locking system: Engages and releases during lifting without manual input
  • Vulcanized rubber pads: Improve grip and protect material surfaces
  • Protective rubber-lined bar: Reduces edge chipping and impact
  • Gravity-controlled design: Ensures consistent clamping during lifting

Applications

  • Lifting and transporting concrete barriers
  • Handling granite slabs and sandstone blocks
  • Moving precast concrete elements on construction sites

Usage Notes

  • Ensure the load is fully inserted into the jaws before lifting
  • Do not exceed the rated load capacity
  • Keep contact surfaces clean (free from oil, dirt, or grease)
  • Never stand under a suspended load
  • Operate only by trained personnel following safety guidelines

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What should be checked before lifting?

Ensure the load is within the rated capacity, fits the grip range, and that the rubber pads are clean and free from contaminants.

What is the difference between ABL255-2000 and ABL255-3000?

Both models share the same grip range (100–255 mm) and working mechanism, but the ABL255-3000 offers a higher lifting capacity for heavier loads.

Which model is right for your application?

  • ABL255-2000: Suitable for standard lifting tasks and medium loads
  • ABL255-3000: Ideal for heavier loads within the same grip range
  • ABL360-5000: Designed for heavy-duty applications and larger material sizes
