Kinci Siput ini dipasang pada alat penggilap, dan setiap pad dilengkapi dengan penyesuai kunci siput (snail lock adapter). Penyesuai ini dipasang pada tempatnya dan terkunci dengan gerakan memulas. Untuk menanggalkan pad, hanya perlu pulas dan keluarkan, kemudian gantikan dengan grit seterusnya.
